What a Monitoring Review Looks Like on the Floor
A walk-through of the observation days we spend beside dispatch desks and depot gates in Bangkok.
A monitoring review is not a slide deck dropped into a meeting room. On day one we stand near the dispatch desk during the first wave, noting how status moves from rider phones to the person calling reattempts.
Day two usually includes a depot gate or transfer dock. We time a handful of vans from arrival to departure and compare that with what the board claimed. Gaps here explain many afternoon surprises.
Midway we sketch a monitoring map: which signals matter, who updates them, and what the desk should do when a signal turns urgent. Supervisors critique the sketch while the floor is still fresh in mind.
The closing brief stays short. We leave a handover pack — board layout, exception taxonomy, and a two-week practice cadence — so the team can run the model without us sitting in the chair.
